Or that I statistically have to worry less about being raped on the street than a woman? Well, that much is true.
But let’s cut the shit. A poor white male, nowadays, is just as likely as anyone else to be denied any kind of work with a living wage, arrested and prosecuted for bullshit reasons, and to suffer other forms of severe disenfranchisement by society. Sometimes leading to and/or causing death! Or at the very least, causing a much reduced quality of life relative to society’s norms.
You can avoid that fate by being rich or knowing someone powerful. Not by just being a white male. These guys in the picture? They’re not white supremacists! They’re not making sure all the white dudes out there have money! They’re just sweeping it in for themselves, playing a role in a dumb industry where they get up and yap for an hour and then money comes flying out of the ceiling. There’s a lot of women and minorities who weren’t invited to that party, but they have good company with a lot of white males who don’t fit a particular background, mindset, or ability to finance this whole charade.
Why does this lazy-fucking-thinking meme keep going around? I don’t know! It’s such a white people problem to talk about how there’s no black people on this panel! Black people don’t give a fuck about that! They’re too busy trying to scrounge up enough money to pay for their kids’ potential tuition at the prep school these motherfuckers went to, when that tuition bill is an upwardly-moving target for no reason at all (while the parents’ real wages drop over time) and when all of these guys’ kids took a bunch of pricey Princeton Review classes in preschool to make sure they’d be a shoo-in for that prep school and the Ivy League school (and the white-shoe firm job) that follows it. That’s where the scam is!
But that’s too complicated for Tumblr to talk about. What must we do to make public schools better so that minorities and women have better reach into the management class? That’s a problem that can only be solved by Christ coming down from above. DID I TELL YOU HOW MUCH I LOVE MY IPAD TODAY? LET’S GET DRINKS AFTER WORK! LET’S MAKE MORE CAT GIFS!
